TECHNICAL GUIDE

Borehole cleaning buckets: bottom-cleaning use and dimensions

A cleaning bucket collects loose spoil and sediment from the bottom of a foundation bore before the next construction stage. It supports the cleaning process; it does not by itself verify that the bore meets the project's acceptance criteria. Bottom cleanliness must be checked under the project inspection plan.

How to specify the right configuration

Confirm the effective cleaning diameter, shell clearance, base arrangement and collection capacity needed for the bore. The catalog table provides reference shell dimensions and weights. A nominally matching bore diameter does not establish clearance inside a casing or the suitability of the bottom opening.

Catalog specifications and listed options

Cleaning bucket for clearing loose material from the bottom of foundation boreholes. Standard Kelly box: 200×200 mm. Confirm bucket diameter, bottom configuration and rig interface before ordering.

Assembly review and inspection

Send bore and casing dimensions, the expected sediment and the drilling-fluid conditions. Confirm the 200 × 200 mm standard Kelly interface against the actual assembly. Ask the site team to define the inspection and repeat-cleaning criteria rather than relying on a universal number of cleaning passes.

Is a cleaning bucket selected like a rock bucket?

This bucket is listed for removing loose material from the bore bottom. Specify the bore diameter, bottom arrangement and rig connection; do not assume the cutting setup of a rock bucket.

Preparing a quotation request in Saudi Arabia

  • Identify the rig model, product, quantity and application; include the ground profile when specifying a cutting tool.
  • Send a dimensioned drawing or clearly scaled photos. Identify mating components and distinguish measured dimensions from estimates.
  • State the delivery city, required date and project documentation requirements. Confirm the included components before ordering.
